As a Christian, I try to simply practice kindness and understanding. Jesus would be appalled at the way his word has been diluted and morphed into an excuse to be hateful to others.

If I am in the presence of someone that I know practices Christianity and they start being nasty, I say "That's not a very Christian thing to say." 9 out of 10 times, they back track and you can tell it gives them something to think about.

I wish more of my brothers and sisters in Christ would hold me more accountable as well. If I'm being a jerk (because everyone has moments), tell me! Help me be a better person and a better Christian.
