Everything has to be abbreviated these days. There's even the running joke about how use older folks text in complete sentences. I took a call from a university student one day (the same university I attended) and he stated that he was at "TC". After several attempts at trying to figure out where he was, I understood he was referring to the Trojan Center. He had no idea what TC stood for and I had never heard it be called that.
