Another week, another spectacular location! Not only is this location beautiful, but also tasty. It hosts the only “edible mountain” in the world! Incredibly, this location isn’t usually at the top of tourists’ lists. Only 18,000 visitors are recorded each year, which is unbelievable once you learn about this amazing island.

Hormuz Island

Located in the Persian Gulf, Hormuz Island, better known as Rainbow Island, belongs to Iran. Its enchanting landscape and unique culture almost transport you to another world. The island is elliptical-shaped and made of mostly igneous and volcanic rock.

The entire island is only around 16 square miles and is navigated only via tuk-tuks (rickshaws), motorbikes, or foot. There are no cars on the island.

Despite its minimal size, every inch of the island presents a different, but incredible experience. While the climate is described as tropical year-round, the best time to visit is November through April, when the temperatures and humidity are not so high.
